I guess I am one of the oldest ones who remember Dick Biondi as being the man who brought rock n roll to the young people. Even though I was never a great fan of the Beatles, he was the first to play them in the USA. I am from western NC and listened to Biondi late at night to see what the latest records to hit the charts were.   I never got to meet Dick Biondi. While at Myrtle Beach in the early eighties, I stopped by the station to see him. They said that he was already on the golf course. My bubble was busted. We should give him the appreciation that he deserves for the years that he brought joy to us young folks. Dick Biondi worked so much outside of the station to help and enrich his community for many years. He deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest DJs ever

Famed Nashville session guitarist Jimmy Capps passed away June 2, 2020. He was 81. Over a span of over sixty years, Jimmy played on more hit records than most people can count. He never searched for fame, it found him. He would rather stay in the background and do his job behind the scenes. RIP Jimmy Capps.

I was a fan of Gene Pitney from the start. Followed him thru all of his hits in the sixties. Then he seemed to disappear. Always wondered what happened to him. Years went by and I would get little blurbs that Gene was still performing. Then with the advent of the internet, I started searching, and I found out that he was alive and well. When you live in a small town in western NC, news travels slow. Just wish I could have seen him at a live concert.

Sorry about the typo on the name. I have to agree with Flo. I never heard better harmony. The Everly Bros. were very good, but the Glasers brought harmony to a whole new level. Why they are not in the Hall of Fame I don't know. They should have been there when they were all alive. I cherish the times my late brother and I would listen to them on The Grand Ole Opry on WSM while riding around not caring which way we went. Thanks for the memories.

Just saw where Chuck Glazer passed away Monday 6/10. The last of the Glazer Bros. Tompall, Jim, and Chuck. A lot of you won't know them. They were more country. But they were the backup singers for Marty Robbins and the sound of "El Paso".

I think I should clarify my post. I did not mean to demean the new board. I am grateful for it. I guess the old board was like and old pair of shoes, very comfortable. Thanks for being here.
