Given this age of political correctness, would this song (it reached #70 on the charts in 1969) be considered offensive or a celebration of Indigenous music today?

It was written and sung by Jim Pepper, who was Native American, and he learned the Kaw words from a peyote song that his grandfather taught him. So it's quite authentic, and Pepper's legacy has been honoured in various ways since his passing in 1992.
