Bill Medley Still Singing "Righteous" Songs At 81
He may be without his "Brother" but he's still got the pipes, even after throat cancer, the loss of his partner Bobby Hatfield and now his wife. In fact, Bill Medley never believed singing was going to be a career.
"We thought, ‘we’ll ride it out until the fad’s over and we’ll go back to driving a truck.”
But of course, it never ended and he took off for a different kind of ride. In this interview for a Lincoln, Nebraska newspaper, Medley talks about "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' ", the group's greatest hit, and how he accidentally became the producer on another classic 45 - originally intended as a B-side.

I saw them together about 20 years ago at a club in Vegas and, at that time, I thought, "They still have it." The other thing I thought was, "Wow! There's a lot people in wheelchairs and gray hair." And, of course, I wasn't including myself at the time. Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle... Didn't matter, it was a super concert!!
