Every now and then I'll listen to the Top 40 countdown, partly to check out new stuff and partly because I still like Rick Dees. This past Sunday I thought I was hearing things when Dees said that the #3 song, "Beggin'" by the Italian rock band Måneskin, was a cover of a Four Seasons song written by member Bob Gaudio in 1967.  Apparently Måneskin first cut it in 2017 and it's since taken off on Tik Tok so they re-released it and it's now a huge hit. Too bad that, to these ears at least, it sounds really lame and not catchy at all. Far better for me is Dua Lipa's "Love Again', which is about as good a pop song that I've heard. And the video for the song? Wow!
