Biopic Tells The Story of Robert Stigwood - & Saturday Night Fever

I'm not sure how many here subscribe to HBO, but on Dec. 9th, they're debuting a film called "Mr. Saturday Night," the story of Robert Stigwood and how he came to make "Saturday Night Fever." The music mogul also pulled the Bee Gees from obscurity and reignited their career with the film.

I hated disco and didn't especially care for the film, but Stigwood had an extensive music background before his biggest success and the aspect of the behind-the-scenes machinations of getting this film made intrigues me.

According to HBO:

“Mr. Saturday Night tracks Stigwood’s journey from managing artists such as Eric Clapton and the Bee Gees, to producing the hit theater productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy and Evita, to forever changing the way film studios approached movie soundtrack synergy, leaving an indelible mark on American cinema and the record industry for decades to come."
