Just saw the docu, The Torch, last night at the theater about Buddy Guy and this up and coming young kid named Quinn Sullivan. It was done very well not only examining Buddy' life but how this young kid at age 7 impressed the hell out of Buddy and he took him under his wing. There's interviews with Santana, Joe Bonamassa and many others. Well worth your time.

Was fortunate enough to catch their show at the Casino in Windsor about three years ago... and Quinn was amazing. It just seemed like the guitar was an extension of his arms and hands, a part of his body rather than a separate instrument. He need not take a back to any of the greats... Clapton, et al.

Color me old!! I guess I can't keep up with the new talent even as much as I might try. I never heard of this Quinn Sullivan kid. He's good and has much potential. Wow!!
Thanks for sharing!

A sample of his work if you've never heard it. Very impressive - and a pretty good voice, too.

In the movie you see him walk up on stage with Buddy Guy at age 7.
