This extensive excerpt from the late Ronnie Spector's autobiography is pretty stunning. It describes a life I'm betting none of us could even begin to imagine. But it reads like an incredible work of fiction.

From her early days as a Ronette, to being propositioned by an angry John Lennon, to her mistaking Cher for a call girl to the story of how she wound up sleeping with David Bowie, and to Phil Spector's threat to "assassinate her" outside a Vegas hotel room, there's enough here to make it seem like an overly hyped episode of TMZ. 

But it was her life and it's incredible to think anyone lived through it. What a movie this would make - with the added bonus of having an amazing soundtrack.
