Unlike the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, whose annual nominations are dodgy at best, the Country Music Hall of Fame is right on the mark with its latest inductees. Jerry Lee Lewis' country career is often overlooked given his groundbreaking role inĀ rock & roll, but his country songs like 39 And Holding, What Made Milwaukee Famous and Middle Age Crazy are absolute classics. Keith Whitley is also an excellent choice and it was unfortunate that his promising career was cut so tragically short. His album Don't Close Your Eyes is a masterpiece.
