I've tried listening to Chicago, BS&T, Ballin' Jack, Lighthouse, Chase, but I haven't found what I'm still looking for.
Do you have any other idea?

I wondered - could it be a song from a musical?

In this case, I got help from an oldies fan.
Originally it was this song: Bill Deal & The Rhondels - "19 Years (Everything I Do Is Wrong)"
This is a review in the weekly Record World:
This represents a real departure for deal. Very polished number with excellent harmonies and a Chicagoesque arrangement is a far cry from "May I?".

I didn't notice you had posted it here, too, mroldies (I'm sorry, I don't think I know your actual name). I'm glad I was able to help out with at least one song in question.

Tom, thanks again. I have another similar musical problem.
See my entry "Another mysterious song sung in Czech". It is probably an even bigger "nut to crack"...
"To crack the nut" - this is a synonym for "solve the problem" in Czech. Do you have something similar in English?

In answer to your language question, we do have similar expressions in English.

Lorne, thanks for the clarification. As I see it, the term "hard nut" is everywhere in the world...
And my entry "Another mysterious song sung in Czech" is just like that.
I got a tip - Judy Singh and Marti Webb's first albums. I tried but I don't find what I'm looking for...
