Neil Diamond is the subject a of a new Broadway-bound musical called "A Beautiful Noise." It opened last week in Boston, where "Sweet Caroline" has become something of a Red Sox anthem in the seventh inning stretch. 

As many here know, Diamond was forced to give up performing after being diagnosed with Parkinson's. But for one more magical music moment, he appeared to audience roars at the opening of the play based on his life and broke into - what else? - Sweet Caroline.

You can hear his voice isn't what it used to be, perhaps ravaged by both age and the disease. But he gives it his best and fans of the singer know his best is still pretty good.
