Rare Interview With Art Garfunkel Has Amazing Stories About "Bookends"

The stories on this podcast are fascinating if you're a fan of Simon & Garfunkel. Usually when there's a retrospective about the duo, they almost always talk to Paul Simon, who wrote all the tunes.

What makes this piece so different is that it's the memories of his partner, Art Garfunkel, who fills in the blanks on everything from the making of Mrs. Robinson (and why you never quite hear the full tune in "The Graduate") to a story about the Moog Synthesizer that's pretty stunning.

It's a look at their album "Bookends" and after all these years, it still sounds pretty good, especially when you add in these stories that have seldom been heard before.

One note about the link. There are two versions you can play. The first one, with the big S&G pic in the larger player contains all the songs they talk about. The smaller version at the bottom of the page is the same interview, with the tunes cut out, making for a much shorter listen. You can pick whichever one suits your needs, but I guarantee you, if you're a Simon & Garfunkel fan, you'll learn something you never knew about the album and the dynamic duo.

In the Studio With...Art Garfunkel
