The composer of some of most enduring pop songs from the 60's and '70s Mark James has passed away.
Mr. James, whose real name was Francis Rodney Zambon was a native of Houston Texas. He died on June 8th
Mr. James wrote for the likes of Elvis Presley who recorded his Moody Blue and Suspicious Minds, along with B.J. Thomas who recorded the James offerings Eyes Of A New York Woman & Hooked On A Feeling.
But as big as those tunes were and are the best selling song from the catalogue of Mark James is none other than Always On My Mind.
A great loss to the world of music. Mark James was 83.
