It's the 50th anniversary of one of the late storyteller's biggest hits, and it will be followed by a documentary about the making of the song. Among those being interviewed: Billy Joel, Pat Benatar, Robert Lamm and Judy Collins.
It's not clear exactly when such a film will be released or who might show it. But hopefully, it will be ready while the song's half century milestone is still in effect.
Chapin was killed in a car crash on his way to a charity performance in 1981. He hasn't been off oldies stations since.
