Michael Brewer of Brewer & Shipley dies at the age of 80
Although his only top 40 success came in 1971 with "One Toke Over The Line", he continued to perform and record with Tom Shipley for over 60 years. He worked with Dan Fogelberg as well.

The most surprising cover of 'One Toke' was on the ultra-square Lawrence Welk show. The champagne music master and his producers missed the song's content big time.
