Richard Perry RIP

Record producer Richard Perry - known as the man with the golden touch - has died in hospital in Los Angeles.

He was 82. Cause of death was listed as a heart attack.

Mr. Perry, a native of New York City, worked with many of the elite from the recording industry including Barbra Streisand.

His production efforts include You're So Vain and To All The Girls I've Loved Before among many many more.

Mr. Perry's obituary & life story is well worth reading.

Richard really had a knack for producing the best album or albums for the artists that he worked with. Along with those mentioned, he was behind the board for Burton Cummings' first two albums and the single 'Stand Tall', the biggest hit of his solo career. To understand Richard's greatness you need only listen to Badfinger's original nondescript version of 'Without You', compared to his arrangement for Nilsson.
