How The Pre-Fame Beatles Sounded At The Star Club
There isn't much evidence of the early Beatles before they were stars, but an amazing example of the band in its pre-fame stages has surfaced on a concert recorded at The Star Club in Germany in the very early 60s. It was apparently recorded by another band and while the sound quality is questionable, it offers a rare glimpse into their infamous live origins.
The thing runs two hours and also features a few other bands towards the end. Not sure I could listen to the whole thing, but it's fun to hear what was - and more importantly, what was to be.

Wouldn't this be the same as he 1977 release of The Beatles at the Star Club (Dec. '62)? I have this LP and from all I can find it was recorded by "Kingsize" Taylor on a home tape machine and a single mike. It wasn't until someone "cleaned up the tape" that it was released as an LP. Harrison still always maintained it was the biggest piece of rubbish that ever had their name on it. funny!
