I'm intrigued, and a little worried, about the success of artificial intelligence-generated Rock and Country acts. A fake Country band called Breaking Rust, with its song Walk My Way, and a Rock group called the Velvet Sundown, with its song Dust On The Wind, have had over two million streams each on Spotify. Was U2 visionary in 1991 with their song Even Better Than The Real Thing? And was John Lennon even more prophetic in 1967 when he declared 'Nothing Is real' in Strawberry Fields Forever?

I get the feeling. Every once in a while I will come across a doo-wop song on YouTube that is AI. Even though it may sound good, there's something not right about it.
It also takes me back to the time when drum machines and computer-generated instruments began providing the background to vocals on a song.
Once AI is in full bloom, how will we know if anything is real or artificial? Will the posts and replies on our board be the thoughts of an individual or those created by a computer? Scary!!!
