The nominees this year are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Melissa Etheridge, INXS, New Edition, Shakira, Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, P!NK, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

The hall has become a joke as it pertains to rock 'n roll. It's unbelievable that Neil Sedaka is not in the hall with all the songs he wrote and recorded.

What I found particularly disappointing is that after making an effort in recent years to induct some artists that they had long overlooked who dated back to the late 1950s to early 1970s, there wasn't even one such artist among this year's nominees. And yes, Neil Sedaka is one of those artists who should have been inducted long ago.
