The Beatles announce new film in collaboration with Sir Peter Jackson

The Beatles have teamed up with Sir Peter Jackson for a new film documenting the band’s final days.

Made by the band’s Apple Corps Ltd. and WingNut Films, the movie is based around 55 hours of never-released footage of the Fab Four in the studio recording final album ‘Let It Be’, shot between January 2 and January 31, 1969. It culminates with their final gig on the rooftop on their Apple HQ in London, which was exactly 50 years ago today.

Re: The Beatles announce new film in collaboration with Sir Peter Jackson

I'll try again....from Wiki..
.In June 1946, Alf visited Mimi's house at 251 Menlove Avenue and took his son to Blackpool for a long 'holiday'—but secretly intending to emigrate to New Zealand with him.[29] Julia and Dykins found out and followed them to Blackpool, and after a heated argument, Alf made the five-year-old boy choose between Julia or him. John chose Alf (twice), and then Julia walked away, but in the end, John, crying, followed her,[30] although this has been disputed. According to author Mark Lewisohn, Lennon's parents agreed that Julia should take him and give him a home as Alf left again. A witness who was there that day, Billy Hall, has said that the dramatic scene, often portrayed with a young John Lennon having to make a decision between his parents, never happened.[31] Alf lost contact with the family until Beatlemania, when he and John met again.[32] In 1968, John Lennon told Hunter Davies that he soon forgot his father, saying, "It was like he was dead."[5]

I may have accidentally caused a problem here. Bruce's post had gone through twice, and so in my role as Admin I thought I'd remove one of them. I was a bit concerned about whether that could affect anyone posting a reply under his posts, but I thought that this should be ok if I left the second one up and deleted the first one. However, given that you were posting around the same time, I have to wonder if what I did caused your post to disappear. So my apologies if that's what happened, and thanks for posting your message again.

You currently have the fifth-highest number of posts here, so you must be doing something right. Thanks for understanding.

Let It Be Retold... so the group doesn't look as bad, I suppose.
