Instrumental parts!!

There are several songs out there that I really just listen to to hear the instrumental interlude in the middle of the song.  I know there are several out there but the ones that come to mind right now are....
"Don't Worry Baby"...Beach Boys.  Simple but makes me smile every time!
"MacArthur Park"..Richard Harris.  It used to be that I had to endure the first 4 minutes just to get to the instrumental section, but as the years have gone by, I now find the whole thing enjoyable.
"Don't Worry"...Marty Robbins  I can still remember the first time I heard that guitar, I about drove off the road.  I would have loved to have been at the radio station when the Columbia Records Rep first walked in and said "You gotta listen to this!!"

Looking forward to see which ones I missed.

Re: Instrumental parts!!

Good topic.  This came quickly to mind.  I may think of a few later.

The piano solo in "In My Life" by the Beatles.

The piano bridge in "Something In The Air" by Thunderclap Newman is my favorite part of the song.

Re: Instrumental parts!!

Just thought of one more.  Ride Captain Ride by Blues Image has two great solos. I wish the one at the end lasted longer.

So true. The sax solo is incredible (actually so is the entire song).

While on a Hall & Oates theme, the middle of Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid, the haunting strums of the guitars followed by the bombastic drum fills driving into the chorus has been blowing my mind since the mid-80s.
