"Stairway To Heaven" Plagiarism Case Finally Over After 6 Yr. Fight

For years, a guy named Randy Wolfe (who used the stage name Randy California) insisted Led Zeppelin ripped off one of his songs for the intro of the classic "Stairway To Heaven." (And there's little doubt they do sound the same.)

The tune was called "Taurus" and was done by Spirit, the group Wolfe was in back in 1968. He's since passed away but the fight never ended, with potentially millions of dollars at stake.

But now the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the case, effectively ending the battle over the creation once and for all.
