unless the artists were on the same label this might have been difficult to do without bootlegging, but i was thinking of a 45 which might have a song on one side and a not so much answer but more of a contradictory song by another artist on the flip..
the idea i had in mind is, for example, "i love rock 'n' roll" by the arrows (or joan jett), b/w "don't rock the jukebox (i want to hear some jones)" by alan jackson. of course nowdays it's moot, since you can download any two songs and listen to them back to back, but i was wondering if anything like that was ever done in the vinyl era, and if so did it fly as a commercial concept?
