fictional strrange fruit band???
just got through reading the allmusic review of "rage... before beauty" by the pretty things. while i almost completely disagree with the author's assessment of the supposed downside of the record, i'm curious.
who is this "fictional strange fruit" band she suggests the pretty's emulate on some tracks? never heard of 'em, what's up with this?.

Some great songs on Rage Before Beauty. I have always thought the Pretties were under valued and now they have finished playing together. The stories of their decadence when touring NZ nearly 60 years were great reading.

any chance you could suggest a particularly good pretty things concert recording, legit or boot, worth seeking out?
