Sleepy LaBeef
We lost Sleepy the day after Christmas. Now I understand Sleepy never had any "hits" but his influence was everywhere. (Lots of people who never had hits still mattered in the music world.) I was fortunate enough to work with him over quite a few years. Everyone loved him. And it was such a shock to come back after Christmas and find that he was gone.

My condolences, Flo, and thanks for sharing with us about having worked with him. I did a search for any news stories about his passing as a result of your post ... as I've mentioned before, I keep learning a lot about artists from their obituaries, especially ones that I hadn't known much about before. So here's one of the news stories that came up about him.
