This should make board member Mroldies happy. He's frequently posted whistled or hummed song snippets here, asking if anyone on the board can identify them. Now he's got someone with a much bigger database to ask.

Google has officially introduced "Search To Hum," an app that - unlike others such as Shazam - only requires a user to be able to hum or sing a snippet of a song they're trying to I.D. for about 15 seconds and hopefully get a right answer. I haven't tested it, but I wonder how it will do on oldies.
