Banned?

Over past decades, the subject of tunes banned by broadcasters has been discussed on this and similar nostalgia music discussion boards.    "Black Day in July" by Gordon Lightfoot comes to mind.   While it was generally agreed by post'rs that it was banned by Detroit-area broadcasters, a prominent DJ of the late 60s insisted that it was not banned, but couldn't answer why it didn't chart on CKLW when it was popular elsewhere.

Here's another:  Popular writer Brad Wheeler reports in today's Globe 'n Mail newspaper that "Ohio" by CSNY "was banned by some AM radio stations in its namesake state, Ohio"

Am not looking to re-start old arguments (honest) . . . just saying
