I Do Remember!!

Reading Taz' reference to "Ame Caline (Soul Coaxing)" and it's place in the "board's history" reminded me of some other topics that showed up often.  One was "Laurie (Strange Things Happen)" by Dickey Lee.  It seems to me to have been a Halloween mention.
Another was our recurring discussions about Linda Scott.  She happened to be a favorite of mine since her "Starlight, Starbright" LP was the first album I ever bought with my own money (in 1961 at the Tachikawa AFB PX in Japan).  In addition, her "Never In A Million Years"single was the first song I played the night I launched my pro radio DJ career in August, 1962 at KTEO in San Angelo, Texas.  I still have that very recording.
I'll also mention that I sent her a fan letter in 1961 when I was in Japan in the USAF and did get a reply in the mail.  As best as I can remember, she withdrew completely from the spotlight many years ago and her whereabouts are unknown to this day.  I still have a crush on her!
