R.I.P Steve Caro Martin
Voice of the Leftbanke at 71 years of age. They might have had a short career, and only 2 hits, but Steve and the Leftbanke with Pretty Ballerina and Walk Away Renee leave 2 of the most memorable songs of the 60's, no mean achievement at a time when the charts were chock full of great songs.

Their two hits had a unique and special quality to them that I really liked, and his vocals were a big part of that. Here's an article about his passing.

When I was quite young, I gained access to an old radio I found in my family's attic, I listened nonstop to it. "Pretty Ballerina" was one of the first songs I heard and fell in love with it. I thought it was one of the prettiest songs. Still do.
