13 years ago I reviewed Jerry Schilling's "Me and a Guy Named Elvis" for the old site, which then-moderator the late Ron Smith endorsed and which lead to a number of people indicating that they picked it up & found it interesting
Here's another: "Elvis in Vegas" by Richard Zoglin, published last year. It is as much about post-war Las Vegas (mob hits, bankruptcies etc) as it is about Elvis

I'm hoping someday to write a book about all the places Elvis walked into and then exited.
