Soundtracks

I saw this interesting question on Twitter and thought I'd ask it as well.

What is the best soundtrack?

Re: Soundtracks

I'd have to go with Woodstock. Although my first thought was Alice's Restaurant.

Re: Soundtracks

I would nominate the Grease soundtrack.  Not only did several songs from the movie become big hits, but many of the  lower profile songs were excellent and so reminiscent of the era.  Among those, my favorites are: "Those Magic Changes", "It's Raining on Prom Night", and "Mooning".

Re: Soundtracks

Given my very senior years and experience, my favorite soundtrack (and movie) is "Somewhere In Time".  I play it about once a week when I go to bed.  The beautiful music sort of comforts me and quiets down my rambling mind.

I'd vote for "American Graffiti".
