McCartney & Jagger Reignite Old Beatles Vs. Stones Question

I have to go with the Beatles - gone all these years but still arguably the most influential rock band in history. Mick begs to differ.(This is, of course, a totally made up controversy, but it's still fun to contemplate.)

Re: McCartney & Jagger Reignite Old Beatles Vs. Stones Question

Yes, it's a joke, but I think the Beatles changed the music with their evolution of more involved, complex music and the Stones stayed a very good blues based band that really rocked. I got to see the Beatles once and have seen the Stones about 10 or so times, even holding tickets for the No Filter tour currently on hold. Interestingly there's an old 60s interview of the Stones and the TV journalist asked Mick if the Stones are better than the Beatles. He plays very coy with remarks like "better at what?" "We do what we want to do and they  do what they want to do." It's a funny interview if you can find it.
