Re: Bobby Lewis Passes Away At 95

I just came across this info in the last day or so, was waiting to see how long it would take to appear here.  I was just about to do it, but see it has been done.   WOW!!  95!!

Glad somebody mentioned Carl Dobkins, Jr.  - some others I came across - Young Jessie,  Big Al Carson and Doris Duke.

I know of Young Jessie because he co-wrote and first recorded Mary Lou, which became Ronnie Hawkins' only Billboard top 40 hit; he also sang on the Coasters' Searchin' and Young Blood. There's a good article about his life at https://acerecords.co.uk/news/2020/young-jessie-remembered.

Here's a very nice item on the visitation and wake that was held for Big Al Carson.

I couldn't find any news items about Doris Duke's passing, but I found her funeral home obituary and it provides a good summary of her music career.
