The song is called "Angel In Disguise," and features both McCartney & Starr playing and singing on the track. It's expected to fetch almost $25,000 U.S. at auction, with proceeds going to charity. It's supposedly one of four tunes they collaborated on for a Ringo LP that was never released. I wonder if we'll ever get to hear any of them.
One aficionado says maybe it's better that we don't."...the fact that Angel in Disguise was rejected suggests that it may not be the best song in the world," warns Beatles podcaster Chris Shaw. "Sometimes these things are better left as tantalising mysteries."
Unheard demo by former Beatles up for auction
Meanwhile, in another Fab Four-related story, a rare and somewhat blurry picture of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison has been found - a full year before they officially became the Beatles.
Rare photo of The Quarrymen found

Wonder who wrote the sheet music for Angel In Disguise. Although he's a brilliant composer, Paul can't read or write music.

From the little lyrics that I read from the pic...um...not the best of words. Not a whole lot of different notes, either.
That's a great pic of the boys.

considering the aggregate number of still active beatles fans worldwide, i suspect completist collectors alone could probably make the song into at least a minor hit, regardless of its quality.,

And the answer is - somewhat appropriately considering it's two former Beatles - #9, #9, #9.
The unreleased song went for $9,900 at auction, far below the expected amount.
Unreleased Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr demo sells for $9,900 at auction
