"@It's me Karen", got me thinking about this topic when she mentioned Uncle Fester in a thread about Moon River. I'm in the Standell's Facebook group and they appeared in an episode of the Munsters. I know Uncle Fester was in the Addams Family but I'm sure you can figure out my muddled thought process here! Anyway, that got me wondering if anyone remembers any other groups or even individual musicians that appeared in someone else's tv shows back in the day.
One I clearly remember is seeing the Fifth Dimension featured prominently in an episode of It Takes A Thief. Also featured prominently in that episode was their song One Less Bell to Answer.

1966 and the hit tv show Batman featured Chad and Jeremy
And in late 1965 an animated version of the Beau Brummels -- The Beau Brummelstones appeared in an episode of the Flintstones.

Boy, that Chad & Jeremy really got around. They were also on a memorable episode of The Patty Duke Show as "Nigel & Patrick."
Here's an article that may fill in some more gaps, including, incredibly, Bob Dylan on Dharma & Greg.

Wow, those are quite the lists. Just made me remember, Phil Collins and Glen Frey on separate episodes of Miami Vice. There may be others that I don't remember.

As I was going through your list, I was thinking ... it looks like he's probably taken these from a database that he has. They even looked very organized and well-formatted, and I say that as someone who's fairly experienced with databases. Sure wish my mind was as well-organized as yours obviously is.

Nope. No database. I started collecting in 1985 and sold my collection 3 or 4 years ago. Those were seriously the ones I could remember off the top of my head, of things I had.

I think I may have picked this up from Ron Smith's old Oldies Board (or goph); Lowell George and Richie Hayward, two founding members of Little Feat, appeared in a band called The Bedbugs on an episode of F-Troop. They later reprised the role on Gomer Pyle, USMC. Shout-out to the Troop's Larry Storch, the great character actor who turns 98 in January.

Yes, the other thing that I was thinking was that it looked like you probably collected them, to be able to come up with such a good list. I'm still impressed that you could provide so many examples of them just off the top your head. With the ones you've added this morning, I count 40 in all ... so far.
