Lead Singer of The Emotions' "Best Of My Love" Dies

This is kind of the end threshold of the oldies era I suppose, but this is one of those disco hits I could probably have lived without. Still, the lady whose voice was the lead on the Grammy winning "Best Of My Love" in 1977 has gone. Pamela Hutchinson of The Emotions was only 61.

The obit does not say what took Hutchinson at such a young age, only that she'd been suffering from "health challenges" for many years.

I always find it interesting when two songs have the same title. Of course, The Eagles also scored a huge hit with a song called "Best Of My Love," which was entirely different and in my mind, a much better song.

I've seen sources that cite Wanda as doing the lead but not Pamela.
RIP
