It's not often you get a funny legal letter from a lawyer, but that's what Bill Murray received in the mail over his use of the Doobie Bros. "Listen To The Music" in an ad for his Zero Hucks Given golf shirts.
"It’s a fine song. I know you agree because you keep using it in ads for your Zero Hucks Given golf shirts. However, given that you haven’t paid to use it, maybe you should change the name to ‘Zero Bucks Given.’ "
And it goes on from there.
The Doobie Brothers send brilliant cease and desist letter to Bill Murray

That's great! We need more lawyers like that.

I feel the same way. The letter brought something to mind that I'm sure you'll remember -- probably better than me, given how good your memory is. I think someone (not sure if it was you) had mentioned that Hang On Sloopy was the official state rock song of Ohio, and then I found the resolution that had been passed regarding this and posted it. We both thought it was great as well, and I think it's worth posting again here.

Agreed ... and without love, where would we be now? I do hope that they're One Step Closer to resolving this.
