Longest Serving Member Of Poco Dies At 75

His name was Norman "Rusty" Young and he was behind some of the great guitar licks on hits like "Crazy Love," "Shoot For The Moon" and "In The Heart Of The Night," The country rock group amassed some 20 Billboard hits, with "Love" probably their best known.

He was with the band for an incredible 45 years, long after the original members, including Randy Meisner, Richie Furay, Jim Messina and Timothy B. Schmidt, left for other gigs.

"Crazy Love" is a great song.  Brings back memories of driving though the states; destination Texas.

RIP Rusty.

i'm glad rusty was able to keep the name alive, even as a minor brand, after paul cotton was through with watering them down into just another cali-pop firefall act. though i never saw a later incarnation, i'd suspect rusty brought credibility back to the band in its, and his, twilight years.
