Don Everly Wins "Cathy's Clown" Court Case - Yrs. After Phil Died

Everyone knows that the Everly Bros. had a fractious relationship. But it's amazing to consider it's continued even years after Phil passed away. After decades of fighting over who really wrote "Cathy's Clown," arguably their biggest hit record, a court has now decided it was Don who penned the classic - and not with his late brother's help.

What a sad family feud. Even in death, these two can't get along.

Yeah, it's a shame to see such mudslinging this late in the game. I don't know very much about songwriting or airtime royalties, but I'm wondering if it would be a significant dollar amount at this stage. The song doesn't get much airtime, record sales and streaming revenue are probably low and I can't see a good future fit for a tv ad or movie soundtrack. So unless the Weeknd samples it, I can't see it being that lucrative, unless Don is going to sue Phil's estate for back royalties and make the situation even uglier then it is at present.
