As much as I like many of the performers, I have found on many of the special day event shows, the music is usually pre-recorded and lip-synced. I have absolutely hated lip-sync ever since I was a kid. A lot of the performances are also kitschy and schmaltzy and for me, downright impossible to watch. If I watch anything on July 4th, it will be the Hall and Oates Liberty concert from July 4, 1985. Now that was a concert!!
