British Radio Station Unveils Listener Chosen Top 40 Beatles Songs
It's almost impossible to pick what would be the number one all-time Beatles song, but listeners to Britain's BOOM Radio U.K. were asked to try. The result: In My Life, from the 1965 classic LP Rubber Soul, came in at #1.
Another "life" line, A Day In The Life, was revealed as second best. And Hey Jude, which is perennially considered the top Beatles song of all time in many surveys, took third place.
I'm glad they didn't ask me. I'm not sure I could pick one for the top spot, so many of them are great. I go back and forth, but I love Lennon's performance on "Rock & Roll Music" and "I'll Cry Instead."
Not surprisingly, neither made the list.

For me, list gets better after the top 6.
