They're acknowledged by many to be the world's greatest-ever rock band. And because of that status, they've also been the subject of a number of songs, including by members of the Fab Four themselves. (Imagine being so big, you can record songs about your own group!)
This is a fun list - including a few I've never heard of and at least one that was never released - of songs about The Beatles.

I used to have a 45 by songwriter Alan Gordon credited to The Extragordonary Band or something like that, one side was called Beatles... I don't remember ever playing that side.
Then there's the 45 on the label I collect, Diamond Records, The Beatle Flying Saucer by Ed Solomon...
