"Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: A Life on Stage" Airing On PBS

I'm not sure when this is being shown in your area. I just discovered it but fear some here may have missed it, because it aired on August 12th & 13th on many PBS stations. It's called "Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: A Life on Stage," a 90-minute special that looks like it's more about Valli than the rest of the Four Seasons.

But even though he's getting way up there in age, it appears from the brief preview available, he hasn't lost his famous falsetto. It airs on my local PBS affiliate out of Buffalo on Wed. Aug. 17 at 8 PM Eastern, with a repeat on Aug. 18th at 2 AM.

According to PBS, "The Jersey Boys celebrate the 60th anniversary of their first number one hit, "Sherry" with a concert at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut."

But even if you missed it on the weekend, almost every PBS station airs it again, usually at an odd time, so if this interests you, check your local PBS website to see when it airs - or in re-airs - in your market.

PBS is also doing another in the Doo Wop series of My Music concerts.  This one is titled Doo Wop, Pop, and Soul Generations, and it is a sequel to a similar presentation they did in 2018.  It combines oldies artists with new performers singing doo wop and pop tunes.

I notice that this show aired in many markets last weekend, but it is being shown on the Buffalo PBS station this Sunday.  It may still be available where you are.
