    Gordon Lightfoot RIP

    CTV News, and others, are reporting Gordon Lightfoot has passed away at age 84. A true Canadian and international icon.

    Here's a very thorough look at his life and legacy. I'm particularly impressed by how much he kept on performing until his health no longer allowed him to do so.

    There are several Czech versions of Lightfoot's hits. Unfortunately, some of the Czech lyrics are shocking and do not respect Lightfoot's original lyrics.
    For example, in the Czech version of the song "Sundown" the lyrics are:
    “Gas station attendant has all my gramophone records and gave me four ice creams.“
