Songwriter Cynthia Weil dies at age 82

Cynthia Weil's body of work during the oldies era would have been impressive enough, but her songwriting talent was such that she continued to have considerable success in the decades that followed -- and not just with husband Barry Mann, but with others as well.

You can't help but be impressed by the amazing list of songs that she and Barry Mann wrote.  So many of them went on to be top twenty hits.

Here are a few of their songs that I really liked that didn't make it into the top twenty:

Proud - Johnny Crawford
Love Her - The Walker Brothers
Magic Town - The Vogues
See That Girl - Righteous Brothers
Looking Through the Eyes of Love- Gene Pitney

Not to pile on GrimsbyFan, but another great song is Angelica by the Sandpipers!  Great, great song with no chart history.
