I don't generally take much interest in comparisons of how artists have done on the Hot 100 in recent years vs. how they did in the oldies era, because of how much the music industry has changed and how the Hot 100 has changed with it. However, I thought that this comparison was reasonable enough, and it's good to see that several artists from the oldies era either made the list or came close to doing so.

I'm not entirely convinced that compiling such information makes sense.
Sixty or fifty years ago, releasing singles was governed by different business and other rules.
It cannot be compared.
Sorry, my English is poor, I can't express myself exactly. But I hope it is clear what I mean,
what I want to say.
And the fact that it is counted only from 1958 is of course a disadvantage for Elvis.
