Both groups still feature one of their original members: Otis Williams of The Temptations, and Abdul "Duke" Fakir of The Four Tops.

I saw both groups in concert years ago and they are among my favorite memories. I saw the Tops in Albany, NY back in 1968 in a theatre. In about 1988, I saw the Tempts in an open-air concert in Park City, Utah. The first time I heard the Tops on the radio, it was on KRLA in August of 1964. The DJ mentioned that he had played the song earlier in his shift but liked "Baby, I Need Your Loving" so much he had to play it again. The DJ was Casey Kasem!

I grew up in/on Motown. Super music with many talented artists. I refer to the Four Tops as THE Fab Four - MOTOWN's Fab Four, not to take away from the Temptations because, they, too, were highly respected, highly talented artists who reflected the immense talent of their individual members including Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, David Ruffin and so many more. They captured and characterized the whole foundation of SOUL!!
