Documentary On Songwriter Gerry Goffin In The Works

He was the husband of the legendary Carole King but he was also her collaborator. And their combined output created a catalogue of hits that will last forever. King has long been a star in the record business - her Tapestry was one of the best selling albums of all time. But his story is less well known, an omission the documentary intends to remedy.

It will be called "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" after the duo's first #1, which the Shirelles took to the top of the charts.

"...the film explores Goffin’s roots as a songwriter, his marriage and family life with Carole King, his social activism, and the many ups and downs of his career, which was marred by serious mental-health issues...

The production will have unprecedented access to Goffin’s music catalog and archive, including previously uncirculated music and footage."

There's no word yet on when the 90 minute production will be ready or where it might be shown, but it sounds like a must see story when it finally makes its debut.
