"Songwriter" was made when Cash was between record deals and he wanted to keep his hand in the business. This album, which was something of a discovery for his family, is the result.
"The son of Cash and June Carter Cash, John Carter Cash, uncovered songs that his father recorded in the ’90s but were never released. In 1993, Cash was in between contracts and recorded an album of songwriting demos at LSI Studios in Nashville, owned by his son-in-law Mike Daniels and daughter Rosey."
It's a major find but I have to say I'm disappointed his son is named after him. I was kind of hoping it was a boy named Sue...
