John Lodge Of The Moody Blues Releases New Christmas Single

I hadn't heard of anyone from the Moody Blues in years, but I always loved the group's material. Now a true blast from the past has emerged as one of their lead members-  John Lodge - is hoping to be back on the charts with a brand new Christmas single.

This "present" for listeners came after Lodge suffered a stroke the previous year and wanted to prove he still had the ability to sing and make music. Have a listen and see what you think of this musical Knight, who's no longer in White Satin.

The main voice of the Moodies, Justin Hayward, released a solid single in 2022 called 'Living For Love'. I saw him in concert the following year at a relatively small venue, where he performed all the hits and gave the back stories about some of the songs. He and his band were spot on vocally and musically.

The closest I think we ever really got to a Moody's reunion was in 1975, when Justin Lodge and John Hayward released an album under the name The Blue Jays. The main single from the album should have been a bigger hit. It's a great song called "I Dreamed Last Night."

Re: John Lodge Of The Moody Blues Releases New Christmas Single

This is the first time that I've ever heard "I Dreamed Last Night". I think that it's a beautiful song, and definitely reminiscent of what The Moody Blues had done in the past. I also like it appreciably more than anything I heard from the group after they reunited in 1978 ... I gave them credit at the time for being able to change their sound and have significant top 40 success again, and thought that their records were ok, but for me they didn't compare to what they had done in their earlier years.
