I didn't hear about her passing until several weeks after, and I'm a little surprised that there was so little coverage. In the early 60's she recorded several country hits with George Jones, but she may be best remembered for recording one of the all-time weepers, "No Charge", in 1974.

Melba did sneak onto the Billboard Top 40 for one week in June of 1974. It peaked at #39. It did hit #1 on the Country Chart!
